November 1 – 21 | $21 | Any level
You can learn anyone’s choreo. You’ve taken the classes. You’ve saved the reels.
Then the music starts, nobody’s telling you what to do, and your brain goes:
“Wait… what am I SUPPOSED to do right now?” 😂
Or your body starts to do something and you talk yourself out of it.
“That looked weird.” “That’s not really my style.”
Here’s the thing. You already have a style.
You’ve just been too busy learning everyone else’s to feel it.
For 21 days, we’re not learning new moves. We’re using the ones you already have.
The move you come back to no matter what. The one you think of as a filler move. THAT’S YOUR MOVE. We’re going to find out why.
Every day, you get a voice note from me and a short prompt. You move. You notice. You play. Some days, you journal. Most days take 5 to 10 minutes.
You won’t walk away with a new combo. You’ll walk away knowing what your movement feels like, and why it’s yours.
Days 1 to 7
What is already you? Find the moves you return to, and start noticing your patterns.
Days 8 to 15
Do the opposite of your go-to. Get a little uncomfortable. Dance somewhere you never have. Follow the impulse instead of editing it.
Days 16 to 21
Bring it all together. Return to where you started, and see yourself differently.
A private Telegram group, for participants only.
A voice note and a written prompt every day. Some prompts you’ll move, some you’ll journal.
Everything is floor-based. A small space is plenty. Restrictions only exist if you think they do.
Share if you want to. It’s never required, but doing this together is half of the magic.
Go at your own pace. The group stays open until November 30.
✨ You’ve taken classes and still freeze when it’s time to freestyle
✨ Your movement looks more like your teachers’ than yours
✨ You want to stop performing and start feeling
✨ You want to do something just for you
This isn’t for you if you’re looking to learn choreo or tricks.
There are no combos here. Just you.
I had no dance background when I walked into my first class in 2009. I wasn’t the girl who grew up in a studio. I just stumbled in and found something I didn’t know I was looking for.
For years, I danced to prove something. Then I stopped, and started dancing in a way that simply felt good. That’s when I found my movement. And that’s when I finally felt like a dancer.
Since then, I’ve taught thousands of students in more than 20 countries, built Team Basework into a global online movement community, and coached actors on screen, including Lily-Rose Depp in sensual embodiment for The Idol and Constance Wu for Hustlers.
But my goal has never been to create dancers who move exactly like me. I want to hand you the skeleton and give you permission to bring it to life in a way that’s uniquely yours.
Maybe you’ll find a new movement.
Maybe you’ll find a new way of creating.
Maybe you’ll find a part of yourself you haven’t made space for in a while.
For 21 days, we’re choosing to show up.
21 days. $21. Starts November 1.
Yes. If you’ve taken even a handful of classes, you have everything you need to start.
Most days take 5 to 10 minutes. Each day you’ll get a voice note from me and your prompt in writing.
In a private Telegram group for participants only. I’ll add you using the phone number you register with, so make sure it’s the one you use for Telegram.
November 1. Prompts drop each day.
The group stays open until November 30, so you can move through the prompts at your own pace.
No. Sharing is encouraged, but never required.
A little floor space, your phone to film (if you want to), music you love, and a journal or notes app.
There is no live content. Daily prompts can be completed at your own pace.
